Art galleries in metropolises like Beijing and Shanghai are trying to break down the contemporary art market into segments to make it more affordable.

Local gallery, The Orange, has been organizing a so-called "Affordable Art" fair to attract budget buyers of contemporary Chinese art in Beijing.

Held on May 30-31, prices ranged from 8,000 ($1,170) to 10,000 yuan.
