Washington turns off Bush-era Havana news ticker

A news ticker that flashed anti-Castro messages high in the Havana skyline was not helpful to US-Cuba relations, officials in Washington said this week. Reuters

HAVANA: The United States has turned off a news ticker at its diplomatic mission in Havana that long had irritated the Cuban government, the US State Department said on Monday, in another sign of efforts to improve relations with Cuba.
