Used bullet casings spill into street

A huge pile of discarded bullets on the side of a road led to the arrest of five people in Chongqing yesterday for endangering public safety.

Prompted by concerns of residents, investigators arrived to discover almost 600,000 spent shells, old firearms and tons of other ammunition heaped on Yongtong road.

The huge pile of weapons, covering almost one third of the road, scared a lot of people in the area, reported the Chongqing Evening News.
