Farmer compensates for electrocuting buffaloes

An orchard operator had to pay compensation of 16,000 yuan ($2,341) after two buffaloes he was working were electrocuted by high-tension wires during a storm in Haikou, capital of Hainan province, on Monday.

The man who owned the buffaloes said the orchard operator was responsible as the cables running across his farm belonged to him.
