A victory by the opposition Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) in the election would bode well for Sino-Japanese relations, Chinese experts said yesterday.
"The DPJ is likely to do a better job than the Aso administration (in improving Sino-Japanese ties)," said Wang Ping, an expert in Japan studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
"Bilateral ties saw no progress nor regress during the Aso rule," she said.
