Shootout leaves man in hospital

GUANGZHOU: A man who was allegedly shot in the head in the city's latest gun-related incident remains in serious condition, healthcare workers said yesterday.
The 29-year-old man, surnamed Sun, was still in the intensive care unit of the Guangdong Provincial No 2 Hospital early Sunday morning, where he had been sent in a cab after an apparent deadly shootout Sunday morning.
A report by Guangdong TV yesterday said at least two people were killed and three injured during the shootout in downtown Guangzhou.
