Thinking it's milk, woman gulps detergent, dies

A 33-year-old woman died after she accidentally drank an industrial detergent her husband put in a soya milk bottle in Dongguan, Guangdong province, on Tuesday.

Gan Li opened a bottle of "soya milk" and drank its contents after eating breakfast only to realize it wasn't really milk. It was too late. She began vomiting and was rushed to the Dalang township people's hospital, where doctors were unable to save her.
