Speeding death trial

The hearing into the case of a pedestrian killed by a speeding car in Hangzhou two months ago began in the city yesterday, but the court ended without a verdict. Tan Zhuo, 25, was killed on May 7 when he was crossing a road in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province by a speeding Mitsubishi Evo driven by 20-year-old college student Hu Bin. Hu was later confirmed by the police as traveling between 84 and 101 km per hour on the street where the legal limit was 50.
