Miners found after 25 days

Rescuers carry a miner, who survived 25 days trapped underground, to an ambulance in Guizhou province yesterday. Three miners were found alive in the Xinqiao Coal Mine, which was flooded on June 17 while 16 miners were working underground. Xinhua

Normally, humans can survive no more than 10 days without food or water, but three trapped miners who lived at the brink of death below ground have extended that record to 25 days.
