High demand for good looks

Exterior styling is of prime importance to Chinese shoppers considering purchase of a new car, according to a recently released study by market research company JD Power Asia Pacific.
The inaugural study examined auto brand awareness, consumer perceptions, purchase considerations and media habits among consumers in the country who intend to purchase a new vehicle in the next 12 months.
The study found that the first step in engaging new buyers is an appeal to their eyes.
