While there are many bars in Beijing, not many can claim that they produce their beer on-site. Expats with a taste for finer beer may find themselves at a loss when searching for a good microbrew. However, Beijing does in fact have several excellent microbreweries, each with their own distinct flavor and atmosphere.

Although most of the microbreweries established in the past decade have disappeared, the best of the bunch have hung on and established themselves as a beer aficionado's paradise.
