Universiade goes online

The executive office of the organizing committee for the Universiade Shenzhen 2011 yesterday launched an online interactive platform with Sina.com, a leading Chinese web portal, to solicit attention and blessing from worldwide netizens for the important sports event. The Shenzhen delegation, headed by acting mayor Wang Rong, will accept the handover of the Universiade flag on July 12 in Belgrade. Netizens can access real-time information, video and photos from the Universiade through the online platform. They can also participate in interactive activities, such as writing blogs, sending virtual flowers to the athletes.
