Titans recall McNair's heroics, not his failings

NASHVILLE, Tennessee: Former American football star Steve McNair was remembered on Monday for his on-field heroics by former colleagues rather than the sordid details of his still-unexplained death.

McNair's body was discovered on Saturday in a locked downtown condominium beside the body of 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi, a woman the married McNair had been dating. A gun was found under the body of Kazemi, who was shot once.

Police continue to investigate the slaying of the former Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens quarterback and have not ruled out a murder-suicide.
