Palin: If I die, I die. So be it

Former US Republican vice-president candidate Sarah Palin says she's not a quitter, she's a fighter, but adds that, politically speaking, "if I die, I die. So be it."

In taped interviews that aired on three US networks yesterday, she said she recognizes she might not have political staying power. She said her resignation on Friday was a matter of progressing in an unconventional way because that's how Alaskans are.
