The freshwater dragon fish (Scleropages formosus) is also known as the Asian arowana, ikan arowana, siluk, bonytongue and emperor fish.

They are "living fossils" thought to have changed little over the past 140 million years.

They can grow up to 90 cm in length and weigh 7 kg. they were said to live up to 50 years in the wild, and up to 30 years in an aquarium.
