Arabian artists in Beijing
Seven renowned Arabic artists have donated paintings to the Chinese Ministry of Culture in a bid to boost friendship between the two worlds. The paintings were created during the artists' one-month visit to China in June, reflecting their impressions of Beijing, Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, and Suzhou of Jiangsu province.
Lebanese artist Wajih Nahleh was fascinated by Suzhou embroidery. He gave several copies of his paintings to a local handicraft studio, hoping they could transform his works into embroideries.
