China Unicom investment

Telecom operator China Unicom is investing 20 billion yuan in Shanghai over the next three years to expand and upgrade its network in the city. China Unicom will invest 800 million yuan from the funds to set up a high-quality WCDMA network to ensure it runs smoothly during next year's World Expo, according to a strategic pact it signed with the Shanghai Municipal government.
