Turning the page on history

The National Precious Chinese Ancient Books Exhibition is underway at the National Library of China.

It is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, with the participation of 97 public libraries, libraries of colleges and universities, and private collectors.

About 300 exhibits have been selected from 4,478 ancient books, including 50 block-printed books from the Song (AD 960-1279) and Yuan (1271-1368) dynasties, 80 handwritten pieces of masters of different periods, and ancient books in 12 ethnic minority languages.
