Reforms to spur India
The Indian government proposed sweeping economic reforms yesterday and said growth could revive to as much as 7.5 percent this year if the US economy bottoms out by September and the monsoon rains return to normal.
Economic growth for the fiscal year through March slowed to 6.7 percent from an average of 8.8 percent in the previous five years.
