H1N1 flu death after labor

A 19-year-old woman who contracted H1N1 flu during her pregnancy became the first person yesterday to die from the virus in Spain, hours after her baby was rescued by a Caesarean section, radio reports said.

Doctors carried out the Caesarean after warning that a deterioration in the mother's condition would prematurely induce her labor, private radio station Ser said.
