Handicraft at its quickest

China Daily | Updated: 2009-06-27 08:14

Li Lukun has the fastest fingers at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Every weekend, he is surrounded by nearly 80 Rubik clubbers who want to break his 18.56-second record for solving a Rubik's cube. He keeps on practicing, for he is still more than 10 seconds off the world record.

"I was very happy when I set the new school record," said the 21-year-old freshman, not glancing at the cube as he twisted its sides. "I've done it in 15 seconds at home."

Li hopes to improve and compete in Beijing Universities' Speedcubing Championship next year.
