Pop stars and fashionists, it seems, belong to one big family. Jennifer Lopez's personal perfume Glow in 2002 triggered a "crossover" with Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Jennifer Aniston, and Paris Hilton following in her footsteps with their own perfumes. Even Sex and the City's Sarah Jessica Parker has come up with her fragrance named Lovely. However, looks like Chinese stars prefer the "crossover" in clothes. Taiwanese actress, singer and TV host Barbie Hsu showed up at the Cotton USA Natural World party, with designs for six local fashion brands. She has designed a series for bedclothes brand, Dinosaur. Inspired by a wedding dress worn by Grace Kelly, she trims her sheets with white lace. Polos by K Swiss, a sportswear brand, carries a big cartoon image of Hsu. The German underwear brand Schiesser's pink-color bras are also Hsu inspired as is Italian sportswear brand Lotto's tees Hsu's creative touch also informs Ivyhouse children's wear with its dominant use of black and white and Casablanca-Home's patterns of giant trees and leaves in brown. Every Hsu design, underlined with her signature, reflects her public image. "If you like her, it would be very interesting to buy some of her designs," says Karin Malmstrom, director for China and Hong Kong of Cotton Council International.
