Thabeet happy to be Tanzania's pride no matter who drafts him

NEW YORK: When Hasheem Thabeet is picked during Thursday's NBA Draft, cheers are certain to ring out in the early hours in his homeland of Tanzania.
"There's like a bar back home where they are going to be showing the whole draft experience," Thabeet, 7 foot 3 inches (2.21m) tall and one of the top prospects in the draft, told reporters on Wednesday.
"They have to go to this bar that is going to be open late for that night so people can watch the NBA draft. It's going to be 2 am."
