Drug peddlers executed

Two men were executed by gunshots yesterday for separate cases of drug crimes, the Shanghai High people's Court said. Shi Weiguo, 46, was caught carrying almost 2 kg of methamphetamine on Feb 1 last year. When his house was searched later, cops recovered 1.1 grams of heroin, 9.3 grams of methamphetamine and 126 grams of Cannabis.

Zhang Jindi, 41, was arrested on Jun 4, 2007, with about 3 kg of methamphetamine and 6.16 grams of ephedrine, while trying to sell the drugs.
