Classic reggae

Guo Jian's hoarse-edged lead vocals, combined with rock anthem melodies and lyrics that meld current observations with Taoism insights, have made The Dragon God one of today's most important Chinese reggae bands.
In just two years since they were formed, their singles - Follow Your Heart, Embrace and Flying Slowly - have become classic reggae songs in China and helped shape the local mid-tempo reggae scene.
Each band member - lead singer Guo Jian, guitarists Niu Niu, Gao Xu and Cui Xudong, keyboardist Fei Fei, drummer Gao Fei, zither-player Zhang Wei and saxophonist Wang Tianxiao - was already a name in the local rock music community in the 1990s.
