Iranians continue rallies as council agrees to recount

Some hundreds of thousands of supporters of leading opposition presidential candidate Mirhossein Mousavi turn out to protest the result of the election at a mass rally in Azadi (Freedom) square in Teheran, Iran, on Monday.

TEHERAN: Iran's top legislative body yesterday ruled out annulling a disputed presidential poll that has prompted the biggest street protests since the 1979 Islamic revolution but said it was prepared for a partial recount.
