New films

Beijing-based producer and distributor Enlight Media is working with six Hong Kong directors to launch eight movies over the next two years.

Among them is Astro Boy, an animation picture adapted from Japanese comic books and directed by David Bowers (The Prince of Egypt and Shark Tale). The film follows the adventures of a young robot, is costing about $80 million to make and will screen in October.
