Once upon a time, pop singers were real singers. It is difficult to call them singers today with the pop charts being dominated by those who use software to correct their pitch and electronic devices to make their voice sound flawless. Back in the good old days, pop artists were able to tour without any dazzling stage sets or gaudy outfits. These days, artists are able to get by on looks and publicity and are driven by the desire for fame at all cost.
