The Zhejiang Yueju Theater is to stage two classical plays, Girl Jiujin and Red Romance. Yueju, known as Shaoxing Opera, is popular in the southern regions of the Yangtze River. Girl Jiujin, adapted from a folk story in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, is about a brave girl struggling against her rigid family after her marriage. Red Romance is a modern love story of revolutionary soldiers in the late 1940s.
