University hit by H1N1

Egypt has detected the H1N1 flu virus in two students at the American University in Cairo and has put 234 students and staff under quarantine in a Nile island dormitory, health and university officials said yesterday.

Police wearing face masks stood guard at barriers outside the multi-storey dormitory building in the upmarket neighborhood of Zamalek that houses mostly foreign students and faculty. No one was allowed in or out.
