China joins IAEA Board of Governors
China, along with 12 other countries, will be on the Board of Governors at the next meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The decision was taken at the IAEA board meeting on Wednesday.
Under IAEA regulations, only countries most advanced in atomic technology, including the production of raw materials, can become permanent members of the Board of Governors.
State monopoly in banking criticized
The National Representative Conference of China Finance and Banking Society (CFBS) criticized the State monopoly in the country's finance and banking business.
Banking experts at the conference, held in Hefei, capital of Anhui province, said rapid expansion of commodity production in the country requires professional, flexible, efficient and local banking services, not centralized, unified banking practices.
A group of young experts suggested a financial market be set up and collective, local and cooperative banks and other financial entities be allowed to be established to create competition in banking business.
