Violent storms claim lives
At least 45 people have died in storms that have lashed eastern and central China since last Wednesday, officials said yesterday.
The disaster relief office in eastern Anhui province said 21 people were killed by falling trees, collapsed roofs and in shipwrecks. Four were missing and 215 others had been injured.
