Dinner with the stars

Dinner with the stars

Beijing has seen Michelin-starred chefs visiting and working at local restaurants but never a group of Michelin star chefs and a celebrity chef working together to prepare one dinner. That makes the evening of June 8 even more special because that is when Hilton Beijing Wangfujing will have five internationally acclaimed Michelin-starred culinary masters and celebrity chefs creating a gourmet gathering like no other.

The star-studded line-up includes Heinz Beck from Germany, a three Michelin-starred chef specializing in Mediterranean cuisine; Heinz Winkler, the first Italian chef to receive three Michelin stars when he was only 32 years old, in 1981; Annie Feolde, the first Italian woman to be awarded three Michelin stars; David Burke, celebrity chef who owns eight restaurants throughout the United States; and Jorge Rausch, who worked with the famous Raymond Blanc in his two-Michelin-star restaurant Le Manoir Aux Quatre Saisons, and won awards for his own restaurant in Bogota, Colombia.

Dinner with the stars

The hotel calls the event "an intimate dinner with the stars". Together with Hilton's own executive chef, Yuxiang Gu, the chefs will make six courses at the hotel's glittering Lantern Ballroom and Australian Master of Wine Dr Ron Georgiou and resident Peter Teng will choose wines to match the chef's creations.
