Three common cultural blunders expats make

Coca-cola advertisements the world over, feature smiling young celebrities with product in hand celebrating the "me generation". In China, Coke is the real thing only if it's targeted at the entire family.
This was an example of a key China cultural difference, highlighted by a new school aimed at helping expats better understand the nuances of life on the mainland.
The Jintai Academy, located in the courtyard of the Xizhao temple in Beijing's Chongwen district, is the latest of at least half-a-dozen city schools aimed at giving newbies from foreign shores a feel of local culture.
