By Xin Dingding | China Daily | Updated: 2009-06-02 07:42

Software designed to catch plagiarized papers is growing in popularity after a string of scandals involving graduate students.

In the latest scandal, Hu Chunlin, a Hubei province college teacher, was accused of submitting someone else's paper to obtaining a master's degree at Huazhong Normal University.

It's alleged Hu "cut and pasted" the other paper and only changed a few minor details, the China Youth Daily reported.
