Fly in the face of law

It is an unbelievable incident in a country bound by law.

Two reporters were beaten in Hubei province's Badong county on Thursday, while they were interviewing the maternal grandmother of Deng Yujiao, the pedicurist who allegedly killed a local official after he asked her for "special services" earlier this month.

The brutal attack on the scribes - their notebooks were snatched and they were dragged outside the house before punches rained on them - seemed the attackers were gangsters.
