The popularity of the sheep-wolf story in China began with the animated TV series Happy Sheep and Grey Wolf in 2005, followed by a 20-volume book adapted from the program. It tells the story of how the smart sheep defeated the wolves. Now a puppet show has been created, under the direction of Huang Weijian who also directed the TV series.
