Cartoon brews love of tea

China will produce the world's first cartoon series promoting its rich tea culture, a cartoon maker in Fujian province announced yesterday.

The series, entitled the Oolong Boy, tells the story of a tea fairy that travels on a merchant ship and fights pirates during his exploration of the world of tea. The 78-episode series is designed to be an epic production and a theme park will also be built in Fujian to attract cultural exchanges between children from the mainland and Taiwan.
