New play on Qin emperor in the pipeline
The Central Academy of Drama has signed a contract with the Runjing Xiangsheng Film and TV Investment Company to produce a play The Qin Emperor Zheng, portraying the youth of China's first emperor Yingzheng (259 to 210 BC).
Scheduled to run from July 6 to 19 at the Experimental Theater of the Central Academy of Drama, it will be staged by the academy's junior students of direction, and directed by its vice-president Liao Xianghong.
