For the love of jazz

It's dark and crowded at East Shore Caf but that doesn't stop crowds of jazz lovers from pouring into Beijing's most happening jazz venue.

Sinking into the comfy sofas, eyes closed, they tap their feet to the strains of jazz in the small bar that offers a clear view of Houhai Lake.

Opened by well-known saxophonist Liu Yuan, the bar's crowds include the Beijing Jazz Lovers (Beijing Jueshi Quan), a group of dedicated jazz fans formed a year ago.
