Russia expects tough UN resolution on Pyongyang: Agency

MOSCOW/GENEVA: Russia believes the DPRK will face a tough UN resolution because the reputation of the Security Council is on the line, Interfax news agency quoted a Russian Foreign Ministry source as saying yesterday.
"The reaction must be sufficiently serious because the authority of the Security Council is at stake," Interfax quoted the unidentified official as saying. "The adoption of a tough UN Security Council resolution is most probably unavoidable."
The UN Security Council unanimously condemned the DPRK's latest nuclear test on Monday, saying it was a "clear violation" of a previous resolution passed in 2006 after Pyongyang's first atomic test.
