Investigation urged

Pedicurist Deng Yujiao has asked Badong public security bureau to investigate allegations that she was raped by Huang Dezhi, one of two officials that she stabbed at a hotel in Hubei province.

Police have been asked to detain Huang and charge him with rape, Deng's lawyer wrote on his blog yesterday. Deng, 21, is accused of injuring Huang and murdering his colleague during an argument on May 10. Lawyer Xia Lin said that he would continue to represent Deng despite the woman's mother saying that she had dissolved their contract.
