'Black light' fantasy
Fancy seeing actors dressed in all black, operating props with UV lighting? This weekend, acclaimed Israeli group, Funtazi Theater, will illustrate just how magical "black light theater" is, at the National Center for the Performing Arts.

Directed by Lior Kalfo, the Israeli born award-winning comedian, the show follows a young man's colorful dream. A beautiful mermaid swims in the deep ocean with 200 UV fishes tailing her, and astronauts float about in the universe. The performers use special cables attached to the ceiling to fly above the audience. Colorful butterflies and giant spiders fill the theater.
The illusions and the interactive sequences - where, for example, performers push big balls from the stage on to the audience and you push them back - is sure to delight children.
