Human trafficking charges

One of China's most wanted criminals has been arrested in Zhuhai, Guangdong on Wednesday after a national search on charges connected with trafficking, the Ministry of Public Security said Friday. Zhang Weizhu, 35, was allegedly involved in 10 cases of child trafficking in Guangdong province, said a statement on the ministry's website.

Chinese police launched a nationwide action against the human trafficking of children and women in early April. The campaign will continue to the end of the year.
