Rules for officials' accountability

Top Party officials met on Friday to adopt rules for officials' accountability as well as the Party's inspection work and State-owned enterprise (SOE) executives' honesty. The meeting of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau was presided over by Hu Jintao, general-secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

Strengthening the system against corruption, building a clean government and improving officials' conduct, inner-Party supervision and accountability systems were said to be important parts of the Party's anti-corruption work.

Governments and Party committees at all levels were asked to "strictly act in line with the CPC's regulation on officials' accountability".
