Under the hammer

An auction preview of China Guardian Spring Auctions is on. On show are at least 5,400 artworks ranging from ink paintings, calligraphy, oil paintings, photography, porcelain, rare and fine books, letters written by influential 20th century artists such as Chen Duxiu and Hu Shi, to ancient coins, and bronze mirrors. Auctions will run from May 29-30 at the same hotel.
