Listed firms fare well

Listed companies, backed by venture capital and private equity firms, performed better than their peers in 2008, according to market researcher Zero2IPO.

Since 2006, venture capital companies and private equity have helped nearly 60 companies to get listed on the small- and medium-sized enterprises board. The average net profit of these companies in 2008 was about 8 million yuan, up 10.9 percent year-on-year. Earnings per share were 0.47 yuan, 12 percent above the average of the listed companies on the SME board.
