Spaniard aims for 14 highest peaks

Spanish mountaineer Edurne Pasaban yesterday moved closer to achieving her goal of becoming the first woman to climb all 14 of the world's highest mountains after she successfully scaled Mount Kangchenjunga on the border between Nepal and India.

She reached the top of the mountain, the world's third-highest with an elevation of 8,586 meters, with a group of Spanish climbers, her team told Basque public broadcaster EITB.
