Local leads China LPGA Tour

Sichuan native Yang Taoli tees off yesterday during the second round of the $50,000 Beijing Orient Pearl Championship, the opening tournament of the inaugural China LPGA Tour, at the Beijing Orient Pearl Golf and Country Club. Yang carded a one-under 71 for five-under 139 after two rounds, holding a one-stroke lead over Thailand's Porani Chutichai ahead of today's final round. The China LPGA Tour, created by the China Golf Association to foster the development of the women's pro game, will play seven events in its inaugural season.
