Drummed into action

Renowned dancer and choreographer Yang Liping presents her new work Sound from Yunnan, a dance-drama featuring percussion music and folk dance from her home province. Her inspiration was a 3m-high drum she found in the countryside of Yunnan. The artists simulate the sounds of water, wind and thunder in the jungle with aboriginal instruments.
